December 2008 News – Vans amper in Burundi

Hi Everyone

I’ve listened to a radio advertisement this morning which states that the 3 most stressful events in life are:
Moving House, Jobs and Country………Needless to say that we have successfully qualified but for God nothing is impossible!!

Well December month has introduced us to the final leg of our current season! God creates every day new with more hope and challenges for us to enjoy. Truly we mesmerise over the last few months and know that we did not come through victoriously on our own accord, no it was because of Great Sons and Daughters of the most HIGH who have joined hands with us to walk over the bridge into our new season.

We love you so much !! Really God has given us a tremendous love for you…..I know this is a kind of blanket statement, but really every person we have connected with over the last few months have played a role in us walking over the bridge into our next season with peace in our hearts, with more love towards our brothers and sisters and a confidence to continue to see God@work!!

Currently I’m wrapping up business at work in order to finish up 31 Dec. God has given me grace and strength to-do so and I pray that I have left a legacy of excellence and that God may receive the Glory!! I’ve had number of acknowledgements in the manner in which I’ve been training and handed over my responsibilities and experience during the last 6 months.

We have also moved in the 3 bedroom apartment in Horison next to my father in law’s house, he has really been a blessing to us in so many ways. He has a golden heart!! Praise God. God also supplied tenants for the T/House which will contribute towards the ministry as well.

We received news on the 19th of December that Diane’s Granny, Annie Rogers passed on at the age of 79…..We know that she is with the Lord where we can all eventually join her, she just had a head start! We will miss her in the meantime. Again how amazingly we can see God’s hand in taking care of the detail, taking granny before we leave for Burundi. Thank you Lord.

The monthly support have been a challenge, but man we have some amazing people who has already started supporting us. We have been allocating all monthly support received to date to the Reallocation cost account. On a 2 weekly basis I’ve been emailing our accountability partner (Hannes van Zyl) with up to date bank statements and Income statement. The state of affairs are as follow:

Monthly Support = 68% attained, Relocation costs = 50% attained…..in my opinion this is great!! Thank you Lord and at this pace Vans is amper in Burundi!!

We wish you a wonderful Christmas and trust that you will enjoy the time with your family.
God Bless
Anton, Diane and Bernice
